About Me
Teodora Miscov
Born in Brasov, Romania, and based in Bali, Indonesia, Teodora Miscov is a 29-year-old writer who suspects people are more hungry than they let on. Through her writing, she explores what they are hungry for–and why.
Teodora’s journey into the literary world began with the publication of "Songs of God and Pleasure" in 2020, a collection of poems that explores the concept of passion within a universe abandoned by God. Themes range from sacred art to earthly love, bringing tribute to the expansiveness of the human experience–and, ultimately, circling back to the belief that there might be a higher power, after all.
In 2022, Teodora took a sharp left with "Cheap Hotel Philosophy," a departure from the irrational and unconscious into the realm of rhyme and reason. An exercise in making the incoherent coherent through rhyme, these poems try to philosophise, then end the night spilling their drink on your jeans and asking for a ride home.
Additionally, Teodora has been published in the NYC-based "Fragmented Magazine" with her poem “]]]On The Outside[[[“. Currently, Teodora is querying agents with her debut novel, a psychological suspense exploring the inherent dishonesty we often delight in when confronting our own trauma.
